SHR Talent is partnering with a well-known investment firm in Nashville, TN in its search for a Research Analyst. The Research Analyst will be responsible for supporting the investment team by providing fundamental business analysis and financial modeling. As the Research Analyst, you will research, analyze, interpret, and present data related to markets, operations, finance and accounting, economics, customers, and other information. To be successful in this role as the Research Analyst, you should possess a strong understanding of accounting and finance and interest in investing, along with a quantitative, analytical, and logical mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Construct financial forecasts and valuation models
- Assist with portfolio company monitoring as well as monitoring competitors, customers, and potential portfolio companies
- Assist with compiling investment memos for prospective companies
- Collaborate with the investment team on data-intensive research projects
- Perform analysis and attribution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, preferred
- 1 – 3 years of experience within the asset management industry, or a related industry
- Proficiency in financial and accounting principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
